Hello fellow crafters!
Vegas Craft Mafia is proud to announce our first event!
Rochelle & Robbie will be organizing "2nd Saturday Art & Craft Day" at the Neonopolis in Downtown Las Vegas, Nevada. This event will be in conjunction with the newly opened Art Center and Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Art. We are hoping this will be a monthly event involving the community, the art & craft scene and tourists traffic from Fremont Street Experience!

We are still working on the details, but this is what we know so far:
APRIL 11TH, 2009 9AM-6PM - first show!!!

10 by 10 spaces only $50
bring your own table, coverings, canopy, chairs--whatever you need.
We Hope each vendor will commit to 3 months of this event to make this a success through spring & summer and help us bring it back monthly!!!
A loading dock is available just feet from the set-up area!
Public restrooms available
Deli & parking nearby
A business license is NOT required as this is private property (but you will be asked to sign a waiver).
Live Music is planned for the stage. If you know any more musicians, please contact us:o)
Demo's are also being planned for the stage. Want to demonstrate your craft? This is a great opportunity to promote your business & get your name out there! contact us :o)

We want this to be a success and be invited back monthly, so this will be a juried event! We are simply looking for quality crafters. Please email us with sample photo's of the work you wish to sell at your booth :o)

At this time we are starting a handcrafted jewelry artists wait-list. This category is already full, but we may have more room in the future.

The first Craft Mafia was founded in 2003 by nine crafty business women in Austin, TX. The group originally came together through a shared love for craft, DIY ethics and mutual respect. As the Craft Mafia developed it became a forum for networking, promotion and shared ideas.

The Las Vegas Craft Mafia was founded in early of 2009 by craft-crazy entrepreneurs Rochelle Williamson of I'm Not Spoiled Designs, Robbie Bustos of Ruby Vegas Designs & Denise Alvarado of Nese Decor. The group was founded with the goal of individual crafty businesses working together to create & promote each other and the community of Las Vegas. We support & encourage each member to pursue & develop their craft & business talents. While we are serious about crafts, we do not take ourselves too seriously...this is Sin City after all!
We look forward to developing, promoting and CRAFTING Las Vegas to it's full creative potential. We are proud members of the Craft Mafia family!

I'm Not Spoiled Designs

Hi, My name is Rochelle,I have been a professional crafter for a little over eleven years (I know, I know, you are thinking she looks so young *wink*). Although I have always been creative, I was 20 years old when my official business True Love Creations from the Heart was born. My Crafting and Style has evolved and in 2007 I changed my business name to I’m not spoiled designs.

I LOVE anything to do with crafting, and spend most of my spare time crafting or selling at craft shows. I am always changing the medium that I work with but I love to sew making primitive dolls, handbags, and children’s clothing.

Hi, my name is Robbie. Yet in the wonderful & exciting

world of Las Vegas, I've become "RubyVegas".

YIn 1997 my boyfriend started skydiving. Being a romantic, he thought it was something we could do together. Boy was he wrong. After making one jump, I knew I would have to find a passion of my own. I decided to be the fun outgoing quirky girl I'd always wanted to be. Eventually, I discovered

the art of wire-sculpted jewelry...and 'RubyVegas' was soon to follow. Now I create jewelry for others with the same sparkle for life. So while my partner

continues to soar through the sky with his 9,000+ skydives, I have two... but

darned it if I don't have just as much fun on earth!

Hand-crafted Jewelry for the girl that likes to have fun and laugh at herself,

but look good while doing it! 'RubyVegas' style tends to be eclectic, funky and fabulous.

Nese Decor

Hi, my name is Denise. For as far back as I can remember, I have loved creating crafts. I am a self-taught crafter who has learned by mistakes. Typically, I will see something I like and say, “I can make that”. I have dabbled around with cross stitching, making potpourri, dried flower arrangements and have final settled on painting wood signs.
My family and I live in Las Vegas where I work part time and raise my beautiful daughter. I am truly blessed to have a husband that has put up with me taking over the garage and various other places in the house. He helps me so much!

Out of Our Minds

A few years ago I was in Flagstaff Arizona with my most wonderful daughter in law, Kim Gilman. I had been dragging her thru Native American Art galleries. She wanted to visit a yarn shop and a place called “Animas” beads. I had never been inside a bead shop and was fascinated. Bought two strings of Baltic amber, thinking maybe I could talk Kim into making something for me. In July, I was back in Flag for the Hopi Market and managed to bargain at a gallery for a number of hand carved cedar pendants in Northwest Coast Native American Style. Kim gave me a set of tools sat down and started showing me how to use them and we never looked back.

Last year we formed “Out of Our Minds, LLC”. Since we began during a recession, we were truly out of our minds. We function as a team, each designing in their own style with some occasional input from the other. We have separate special beads and beads in common. As my degenerative arthritis continue to progress, I am not able to attach findings so Kim generously attaches all findings and helps with some wire work. We consider ourselves “Artisan Jewelers”. Each piece is one of a kind, handmade and unique. We also make custom designs; working with our clients to make their dreams a reality.

I never believed that I had any creative gift until Kim opened the door. I am forever grateful to have her in my life as I am also grateful to join my “Sista” artists in the Las Vegas Mafia!

Everyday's A Memory

My name is Kristin! "Hi, Kristin." I am an addict. I am addicted to crafting of all sorts. I have been crafting for over ten years and have currently turned my crafting into my own business, Everyday’s A Memory, Inc. I have taken my passion for memory keepsakes and turned it into a business where I help others document and preserve their memories. I create everything from scrapbooks to photo keepsake pendants and so much more. I have recently stepped into the wedding circuit and started creating wedding invitations, as well as, invitations for all other events. I have also taken up stitching and sewing, therefore, I am now creating a whole new line of products that will be out soon! Not only am I a crafting addict/business owner, but I am a stay-at-home mommy of a 2 yr. old and a husband of 3 years; yeah, that’s right he is like my second child! My family is my inspiration and they are constantly giving me ideas and I am always creating something new with their photos!
I am so lucky to have found such great crafting friends and so glad to be a part of the Las Vegas Craft Mafia!
